Aashiq Banaya Aapne is an Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film. The film tells the story of a love triangle between a famous singer, his music composer and their female friend. It stars Arjun Rampal, Udita Goswami and Purab Kohli in lead roles. The movie is directed by J P Dutta and produced by Rahul Mittra, Essel Vision Productions Pvt Ltd., Kishore Lulla Production 24 Frames and NDTV Movies with co-producer Ajay Kapoor and Anindya Chatterjee, the production company Motion Picture & Entertainment Limited (MPEL). The film was released on 24 February 2007. The film is a remake of the 2005 Telugu movie "Billa", starring NTR and Aamani in the lead roles. The plot revolves around a famous singer, "Akshay Kumar" (Arjun Rampal) who falls in love with his music composer's (Purab Kohli) daughter, "Rohini" (Udita Goswami). She loves him too but they have no idea that their relation is being monitored by the neighboring house owner. In between them is a friend who is in love with Kumari, but Akshay Kumar ignores her due to his fondness for Rohini. The rest of the movie is about how Akshay Kumar and Rohini solve their problems and live happily ever after.Aashiq Banaya Aapne was a hit at the box office by collecting around 10 million on the first day. The film has grossed over 191 million worldwide with a budget of just 45 million. The music is set by Anu Malik. The Soundtrack was released by T-Series on 6 February 2007. The songs are composed by Anu Malik. "Aashiq Banaya Aapne" is the Hindi version of the Telugu song "Siva" from the original 2005 Telugu movie, "Billa. The lyrics of the songs were written by Anand Bakshi and the singers are Kunal Ganjawala, Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan and Udit Narayan. All songs were composed by Anu Malik and Lyrics were penned by Anand Bakshi. This soundtrack was released on 6 February 2007 by T-Series at "M2K" nightclub, Mumbai.
